Every entrepreneur encounters unpaid client invoices at some point in their career. Depending on the industry and business, these unpaid amounts can become a significant issue, necessitating the use of a bill collection solution. We’re pleased to interview Rachel Hourlier, COO of GCollect, to learn more about their innovative collection solution and how Chift supports their mission.
What is GCollect?
GCollect is an invoice collection service. We step in after clients have already sent reminders, combining digital tools and human expertise through amicable and judicial procedures. Our unique technology is based on data, DISC profiles, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovative financial solutions. We handle collections for both B2B and B2C.
Why do businesses need collection solutions?
Collection procedures, whether amicable or judicial, are strictly regulated. GCollect is authorized to collect debts on behalf of third parties. We can compel delinquent clients to pay by obtaining payment orders and involving our network of Judicial Officers (formerly known as bailiffs). If, despite all efforts, payment is not obtained, we provide a free Certificate of Non-Recovery (CNR). This document allows our clients to declare the invoice as uncollectible and request VAT reimbursement from the tax authorities. The certificate is essential in the event of a tax audit.
How does GCollect tackle the issue of unpaid invoices?
GCollect offers an approach that simplifies procedures while making them more effective and cost-efficient:
- Simpler: Steps are accelerated, especially compared to traditional legal interventions. Additionally, our partnership with Chift streamlines data exchanges and eliminates duplicate entries.
- More effective: Our methodology focuses on mediation, negotiation, and an ethical approach, helping maintain the business relationship with the debtor client.
- More economical: We operate on a success-based model, charging only when the debt is successfully recovered.
How do integrations help in your mission?
Thanks to our partnership with Chift, our clients can connect their accounting, finance, or billing software to GCollect in just a few clicks. This allows them to quickly and easily transmit data related to unpaid invoices.
- Reliability: Chift ensures stable and secure connections with tested and proven connectors, guaranteeing the integrity of transmitted data.
- Compliance: Chift operates in strict compliance with the European GDPR, a critical factor for ensuring the proper regulatory handling of delinquent clients' data.
What are GCollect’s objectives for 2025?
We are focused on our Open Collection strategy, modeled after Open Banking. We aim to multiply integrations with partners, enabling their users to initiate procedures directly from their software without re-entering data or changing interfaces. Simultaneously, we are developing an invoice-based service offering for legal recovery and financing unpaid invoices in collaboration with Defacto.
